1. Pretty Pastels
When you think Spring, think Pastel Palettes! We’re talking about blush pinks, light yellows, and light lavenders. To keep your special day from looking too “Easter”, balance the look with neutrals like gray and taupe. To execute this trend try dressing your bridesmaids in various spring shades or combine the perfect combination of light hues for the ideal wedding bouquet (see above!).
2. Towering Tiers
Towering Cakes with many Tiers are on the rise. For Spring, layering five or six levels of sugary goodness, is the perfect way to take your special dessert to new heights. These sweet masterpieces are as elegant as ever with bold sugar flowers, detailed patterns and pretty piping.
3. Blushing Brides
When it comes to the perfect spring wedding look, less is more. There’s nothing better than a radiant bride glowing with so much happiness on her wedding day. Bridal makeup should reflect that glow from within. Keep it simple with a soft and natural looking face for your special day. Touch ups will be easy, and everyone will get to enjoy your true beauty.
4. Go Green
There are so many ways to go eco-friendly on your big day, and not only is it good for the environment, it’s super cute too! Reusing accents or materials doesn’t just save money, it saves resources. Work with what you’ve got nearby and what’s in season. Other ways of keeping it green? Light soy candles and recycle your decor.
5. Suit & Tie
Out with the old school and in with the modern day. For far too long grooms have played it safe with their wedding day attire, but I think 2015 will be the year we will see more men expressing their unique style by putting their own stamp on their wedding day. Be on the lookout for mismatched groomsmen, smart casual looks, color, and old school English touches.
6. Good Eats.
One way to be a hit with your guests? Edible Wedding Favors. Sit down with your bridesmaids and have a D.I.Y Party! Giving your guests a special treat is a great way to energize guests when they may need something to nibble on. They can also be arranged surprisingly cheaper than alternative ideas and look ever so mouthwatering.
7. Floral FUN
Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking. But you really can’t go wrong with this one! Add a pop of color to your man’s tux, or pretty floral pattern to your dress! Pastel and floral-print bridal gowns were HUGE on the Spring 2015 runways. If you want to stick with white, find subtle floral details (like the dress above!) or dress your bridesmaids in the print instead.
8. Foiled Invites.
This trend is everywhere at the moment. Think gold, rose gold, silver and copper for either invitation text to small details. A little of this trendy printing technique can add a fancy touch to an otherwise casual invitation. Bold pops of color are also trending. Make your envelope or invite backing a vibrant, colorful pattern.
There are many options for wedding rings these days. Many couples want to honor their marriage and commitment with symbolism by matching their wedding bands. If you like the idea of having a wedding band that is similar to your fiancé’s, but don’t necessarily want match-y-match-y, there are many ways to coordinate your rings. You and your fiancé can select one or two design elements to match, but choose some features that differ to illustrate your individual styles and identities
10. Statement Accessories
For those who aren’t into the veil trend, you’re in luck. Summer 2015 is all about the hair. From flowering vines, to embellished tiaras there’s something to compliment any and every bridal look. Choose a piece that complements the style of your dress, and when you want to let your hair down during the reception, switch up your hair accessory to something more exuberant.
